Join us for a 4-week study of Lectio Divina. It is an ancient meditative and prayerful reading of scripture that seeks to rest in the divine presence, in order to hear and be touched within by the word of God. Developed in the third century, it became part of Monastic practice, and was recovered with the renewal of meditative practices in the 2oth century.
In these four sessions, we will ponder four traditional Epiphany texts which tell of the “revelation” of the Divine in Jesus of Nazareth. We will also experiment with Visio Divina, a form of that uses visual images for meditation and contemplation.
